Social activities.—Worked for the propagation of Khadi and Village Industries in rural areas through the Samagra Gram Seva Sangh; founded Shri Keshav Library in 1937; extended cooperation in establishing Rashtriya Inter College, Sujanganj and founded a Junior High School in 1948 and a High School in Belwar in 1955 and Inter College in Belwar in 1964-65; extended cooperation in the construction of many public roads and dams by Shramdan and setting up of educational institutions; Chairman, District Harijan Sewak Sangh; Member, U.P. Khadi and Gramodyog Board, 1963-66 and Gramodyog Samiti 1967-70; Chairman, Distt. Public Works Committee; Secretary, District Gandhi Centenary Committee since 1968; President, Managing Committee, Rashtriya Inter College Sujanganj and Swami Krishnanand Uchchtar Madhyamic Vidyalaya Belwar, Jaunpur (U.P.).
