Conferences  twice at  Geneva; attended  a  meeting  of  Labour  Education  experts in  Switzerland ; participated  in the Conference  of  International  Plantation  Workers’  Federation, Holland; attended  the  Conference  of  Labour  Leaders of  non – aligned  countries,  Yugoslavia; Member, U.P.  Legislative  Council, 1954-57; Second Lok Sabha, 1957—62 and Third Lok Sabha 1962—67.

Social activities:  Primarily in the field of education, vocational guidance and self-help for industrial labour, peasants, cane growers and employees of Cane Cooperative Societies; Life-Member, Lok Sevak Mandal, founded by Lala Lajpat Rai.

Hobby:  Horticulture.

Favourite pastime and recreation:  Walking.

Travels abroad:  U.S.A., U.K., Sweden, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, Yugoslavia and a number of African Countries.
