This is the Honour Code of Sainik School Kodagu. The cadets of this School are trained 
in such a way follow this code in letter and spirit.
Sainik School Kodagu situated in the land of warriors was established in 18th Oct 2007 and is the 22nd in the chain of Sainik Schools, second in the state of Karnataka as well. It’s befitting for a Sainik School to be established in the land of Kodagu, having contributed brave Generals, Brigadiers and Field Marshals in the armed forces which is the source of constant inspiration for more and more cadets to join this school. Well, from this idea our motto was formulated-“Veeratha, Drudhatha and Praamaanikatha “which says “Be
thou valiant, Be thou determined and Be thou honest”.
Being situated in the ‘Scotland of Karnataka’, obviously the School has a picturesque landscape surrounded by hills beside the Harangi River, a tributary of Kaveri which gushes down merrily near Kudige which is a little distance away from Kushalnagar town.
The crest of the school is designed in a such way that, at the base of the crest, we have a book that depicts knowledge and wisdom which is the foundation and the purpose of the institution. At the centre of the crest is the national emblem, which is taken from Ashok Sthumba at Saranatha that stands for bravery and honour. At the back drop is the ‘Ganda Berunda’ (Double headed eagle), the State emblem of Karnataka a legendary bird which signifies sharpness and determination. A blend of the three armed forces is presented by amalgamating the crest of three services. The intersecting swords signify the Indian Army; the anchor signifies the Indian Navy and the eagle with the open wings signify the Indian Air Force. The super imposing torch signifies the light that liberates us from ignorance and leads us to truth.
Vision of the School
Sainik School Kodagu will continue to strive to be the centre of excellence in educating cadets and equipping them with mental and physical attributes, moral and social values and life skills towards becoming worthy citizens of tomorrow in general and potential candidates for NDA/INA in particular.

The School is situated in 60 acres of land with all modern facilities of a public School.
The ‘Vedvyas’– the academic block having classroom equipped with smart boards, labs, Radhakrishanan Hall, library with all state of art facilities.
The ‘Kautilya’– the administrative block consists of officers chambers, conference hall, main office area, account section, Quarter master section.
‘Cadets’ mess- having spacious capacity of 1000 members to dine in.
Cadets’ dormitories -Viz Menon, Cariappa, Katari, Subroto and Kaveri.
Apart from this, the School has a horse riding arena named ‘Pathy Equestrian Adventure club for Kodagian’, latest basket ball court, Drona Colosseum- the multipurpose hall, swimming pool, parade ground, gymnasium, washing and ironing
plant, RO system, Solar energy efficiency project are under construction
