Accomplishment in letters, art and science:  Has written some 18 books in Kannada and Hindi and collection of short stories, poems etc; The third and fourth collections of poems have also got the State award : ‘Atithi Satkar’ and ‘Yeh Hamare’ written in Hindi have been awarded by the Education Ministry, Government of India in 1969 and respectively; has broadcast many features and talks on All-India Radio.  Is connected with a number of cultural, educational and Literary Cooperative Society, Dharwar.

Publications:  The Art of Indian Embroidery (Kannada); ‘Atithi Satkar’ (Hindi) ‘Muruthama’ Short Stories; Shakuntala—a novel translated into Kannada from Marathi; Home Science (Kannada), ‘Muruthama Darshanam’ (Hindi)—a poetic collection, translation from Kannda; ‘Yeh Hamare” (Hindi); ‘Navilu Inchara” (Kannada)—won Mysore State Sahitya Akademi Award; Edited, Barna’s ‘Kadambari’, number of articles on law, social legislation, education, caste-system etc; Editor, “Veeramata” Kanada monthly for ladies, ‘Samaj Kalyan’—Kannada monthly.

Sports and clubs:  Badminton.

Travels abroad:  Visited a few Western countries and Africa.
