Subhadra Thakur, June 28, 1940; 2 s. and 1 d; agriculturist; associated with the Indian National Congress till 1957, Joined  Bhartiya Jan  Sangh in 1962; was Secretary, District Congress Committee and Member of Provincial Congress Committee for two terms ending 1957; Vice-President, Provincial Jan Sangh and President, District Jan Sangh, Bareilly; Member of Block Advisory Committee (Bhutha Block); Member, Third Lok Sabha, 1962—67; presently Member, Public Accounts Committee.

Social activities:  Resolving day-to-day disputes of farmers and helping them in their problems with Government and local administration units.

Favourite pastime and recreation:  Kitchen gardening and reading.

Sports and clubs:  Shooting; Member, National Rifle Association of India.

Travels abroad:  Whole of South East Asia including Japan.
