Gujarat-Ahmedabad—1971, Son of Shri Kanaiyalal Yajnik; b. at Nadiad, District Kaira, February 22, 1892; ed. at Bombay University; Widower; Social Worker; previously associated with the Congress; Member, (i) Second Lok Sabha, 1957-62, (ii) Third Lok Sabha, 1962-67 and (iii) Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967-70.

Favourite pastime and recreation.—Farm Life, agriculture, rearing of trees; work and play with the inmates of Vidyalaya.

Special interests.—Journalism; writing articles, dramas and books in Gujarati and English.

Books published.—(i) Gandhi as I Know Him, (ii) Life of Pandit Shyamji Krashna Varma (in English), (iii) Atmakatha (Autobiography) in 4 volumes, and (iv) Life and Times of an Indian Revolutionary.

Travels abroad.—U.K., Germany, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, China, U.S.S.R. and also East and West European countries.
