Social activities.—Organised one High School at Lalmatia, one Kisan Library at Bara Simra and several primary and night schools in Boarijore, P.S.; apart from assisting the poor, rendered assistance also to officers in the development work of various Government Departments; organised a number of village Committees in the constituency; instrumental in getting Branch Post Offices opened in the constituency and also a Branch office of State Bank of India at Rajmahal, Santhal Parganas.

Special interests.—Organising education institutions, cultivators’ societies and cottage industries; Uplift of poor classes and social service.
