General Council of the D.M.K.; Secretary of the D.M.K. Labour Front, 1959—61; courted imprisonment in 1958. 1962 and 1963 for political activities; Member. Madras Legislative Assembly, 1957—62 and Madras Legislative Conch, 1962—67.
