Social activities: Started first High School in the Hill Areas of Manipur at Ukhrul in 1949 and served as Headmaster; started another High School at Phungyar and served as its honorary Headmaster for some time.
Hobbies: Hunting and gardening.
Special interests: Educational and economic uplift of the Tribal people, preservation of the tribal customs, cultures and lands.
Favourite pastime and recreation: Touring villages and interior of Hill areas and organising students, youth and other public organizations.
Sports and clubs: Sports champion of St. Paul’s Cathedral College, Calcutta, 1945—49; Member, Calcutta University Athletic team for inter-varsity meet in 1948; Won first prize in Javeline throw; awarded College and University Blues.
Travels abroad: Burma.
