School; went underground in 1953 when Assam Government started repressive  measures in Naga Hills; detained for 19 months when wide-spread disturbances broke out in  Nagaland, 1956-57; President, (i) United Democratic Front, 1973—75, (ii) All Naga Women Federation and (iii) Naga Women’s Organisation; Secretary, Naga Women Organisation; General Secretary, Board of Private Schools Association, (NBCC) Nagaland; Member, Nagaland Bhasha Parishad, Convener, Ura Academy (Social Education Division; Member at large of Baptist Women Welfare, Nagaland; presently Member, Petitions Committee.

Social activities:  Organised many private schools; organiser find member of Prohibition movement both at national and state level.

Favourite pastime and recreation:  Outing with children for games and sports.

Special interests:  Improvement  of condition of rural people and education of children.
