Congress Committee for 5 years; Member, Bihar Provincial Congress Committee; Imprisoned for political, kisan, and labour activities; Actively associated with the All-India Kisan Sabha; Trade unionist in the sugar industry of U.P. and Bihar; Organising Secretary of the U.P. and Bihar Sugar Workers’ Federation; President of the Bihar Sugar Labour Federation; President, P.M.G.
