JEE Advanced 2018 Exam Pattern

Mode of exam

JEE Advanced 2018 entrance exam will be conducted in Online mode (Computer Based Test) only. From 2018 JEE Advanced will conducted in Online mode only. Questions will be two languages namely Hindi and English. Student need to choose between Hindi and English during registration .

Question Paper Pattern

There will be two papers in JEE Advanced 2018 entrance exam. Both the papers will be conducted on 20th May 2018 (Sunday). Paper 1 will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. That means both the papers will be of three hours duration. Both the papers are compulsory and will be in Hindi and English language. The question papers (paper 1 and paper 2) will be of objective type. There will be negative mark for wrong attempts in some questions.

Online display of ORS and Answer Key

JEE Advanced 2018 answer keys and scanned response will be available for both papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) will be available from 29th May 2018 to 30th May 2018. Feedback on answer keys from the candidates will received through the same portal during that period.

JEE Advanced Test is divided into 2 Parts:

a) Paper – 1
b) Paper – 2

Exam Pattern for Paper- 1:

Each subject(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) consist of 20 questions comprising two sections as follows

  • Multiple choice Questions with one or more than one option correct type.
  • Questions with single Digit integer value as correct answer.

Exam Pattern for Paper- 2:

Each subject(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) consist of 20 questions comprising three sections as follows

  • Multiple choice Questions with one or more that one option correct type.
  • Comprehension type : Each paragraph consist of two MCQ’s with single correct answer.
  • Matching list type MCQ with single correct match as answer.
