Answer:
In ∆ADC and ∆BAC,
∠ADC = ∠BAC (Given)
∠ACD = ∠BCA (Common angle)
∴ ∆ADC ∼ ∆BAC (By AA similarity criterion)
We know that corresponding sides of similar triangles are in proportion.
