Bir, a Padma Shri awardee, has also written the script and screenplay of the film and is also the cinematographer. A psychological thriller, that’s deep and dark and intellectually gripping, the film’s theme is a flowing undercurrent of moral conflicts. It is about the relationship between two friends — Shantanu and Shalini — and has been shot in natural light and ambience with jungles as the backdrop. The film explores one’s psyche and tries to find answers to various situations.
“The jungle has been treated as a character in this film and it shows human relationships in a different perspective,” said Rajesh Mohanty, who is a creative associate for this film, for which Habnath Pandey has written the dialogues. National Award-winning sound recordist Nihar Ranjan Samal has designed its sound while the music and background score has been created by Nishad Chandra. Gaurav Pashwal, Swapna Pati have played major roles and have been supported by Talwinder Singh, Deepak Damle and Chaitanya Solanki.
According to a member of the film’s team, the WIND International Film Festival is a unique film festival, empowering filmmakers, especially women, and promoting diversity across the globe, allowing them more marketability through the Hollywood platform.
The film was also screened and garnered rave reviews at the Guwahati International Film Festival.
