BHUBANESWAR: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to extend the unreserved sleeper class ticket facility to three more trains for the benefit of commuters. Through this facility, a passenger can travel in sleeper classes with un-reserved tickets by paying a little more from last week of February or first week of March next year.
These trains are Bhubaneswar-Rameswaram Express (18496), Puri-Ahmedabad Express (18401) and Tirupati-Puri Express (17480). This facility will be available in the first train from March 6 next year, in second train from February 23 and in third train from February 18, 2020.
People can travel in Puri-Berhampur and Bhubaneswar-Berhampur routes. They can avail the unreserved sleeper class journey tickets from the general ticket counters at Puri, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Berhampur stations and travel in earmarked S-6 sleeper class coaches of the trains, ECoR sources.
ECoR had introduced this facility in Konark Express between Bhubaneswar and Berhampur in 2011-12. After reviewing the position and acceptance by passengers, ECoR had extended this facility in Visakha Express and other five trains.
