DC Faridkot issues prohibitory orders under section 144 of CrPC


Faridkot: Deputy commissioner Faridkot Kumar Sourabh Raj on Monday issued prohibitionary orders under section 144 regarding different kinds of violations which would stay till January 10.

The deputy commissioner has prohibited the unlawful assembly of 5 or more than 5 persons , any protest, religious procession, preachment at any place in the district without  the prior permission from the district administration.

The DC has further banned that triple riding(except women and children), riding without registration number plates of any vehicles in the district or children under 18.

He has also prohibited the use of domestic gas cylinders at any commercial place such as hotels, tea stalls and Dhabas(road side eateries).

The deputy commissioner has also ordered the ban on the sale of China strings used for flying kites as it can lead to accidents and is harms the birds and animals as well and firing by fire weapons in marriage palaces.

“No one is allowed to wear military color uniforms, dealing of military vehicles or their likes in colour,” he said.

He has also ordered not to fix any hoardings or flexes  on any public places.

The deputy commissioner has also ordered the hotels and restaurants to apply for no objection certificates within 15 days from this order so that proper decision can be taken on their applications.

“The under construction hotels and restaurants also need to get no objection certificates to remove their shortcomings for the public safety otherwise their works would be shut,” the order reads.
