Faridkot: CBI team reaches Faridkot village to restart its inquiry in sacrilege issues.

A 6 members team of central bureau of investigation (CBI)on Tuesday visited village Buraj Jawahar Singh Wala as an re investigation of the sacrilege issue.

The team said to have recorded the statements of three persons, Gora Singh, Granthi of Gurdwara in Village Burj Jawahar Singh wala, its treasurer Pritam Kaur and another office bearer of Gurdwara Ranjit Singh.

It is pertinent to mention that on June 1,2015 a Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib was stolen from this village in the afternoon and no clue of it was ever got by the police later on which had searched all the village, its ponds, dung heaps and water channels.

Then Faridkot was being headed by SSP Charanjeet Singh Sharma, who is now accused in the case.

After it, on June 12, some miscreants had torn the pages of Guru Granth sahib in village Bargari and scattered those on the village streets.

It led to high tension in the district and later on, on October 14, police fired on protesters in Behbal Kalan village killing two besides firing on them in Kotkapura.

Then SAD-BJP alliance had handed over the inquiry of sacrilege issues to CBI,which July this year, in a Mohali court, had filed its closure report, which led to high voltage political drama.

In the meantime, after the 6 moths long protest by Some Sikh organizations, the state government had formed a special investigation team which had arrested 10 Dera followers of Dera saccha souda sirsa. The SIT had handed over the inquiry to CBI as it was already holding the inquiry into sacrilege issues.

But CBI had given a clean chit to all the accused and filed its closure report saying that it was clueless about the sacrilege issue.

Now CBI has again started its inquiry into the cases.
