Health minister appeals public to celebrate Prakash Purb on platform to spread Guru Sahib’s message of universal brotherhood, peace and tolerance

 SAS Nagar: Devotees in large number were gathered to recite Gurbani hymns during the Kirtan Darbar held to mark the 550th Prakash Purb of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the open area in front of Gurdwara Amb Sahib.

During kirtan darbar, the Raagi Jathas of Bhai Lakhwinder Singh Chandigarh Wale, Bhai Ravinder Singh, Bhai Harpreet Singh Makhu Ludhiana Wala, Bhai Surinder Singh Jodhpuri and Bhai Onkar Singh recited hymns.

Punjab Health & Family Welfare and Labour Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu also paid obeisance in the Kirtan Darbar to take the blessings of Guru Sahib. Addressing the Sangat, the minister appealed to celebrate the 550th Prakash Purb rising above the mutual differences and party lines. He said that in his whole life, Guru Sahib preached the message of universal brotherhood, peace and tolerance and we all should follow the path shown by the great master.


Following the message of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji to protect the environment, saplings of different varieties were distributed to the sangat during the Kirtan Darbar, Besides, medical check up camp was organized, in which hundreds of devotees were examined. A religious book shop was also set up.
