May 18, 1912; ed. at Gurukul Kangri, Hardwar, Paris, Montpellier, Berlin and Gottingen Universities; m. Shrimati Swarnalata; Journalist; Took part in the Satyagraha Movement, 1930 and imprisoned; Editor, “Bombay Samachar”, Bombay, 1936-37; Stayed in European Countries as a Postgraduate student, teacher and revolutionary, 1937—47; Joined Azad Hind Sangh (I.N.A.), Berlin and worked with Shri Subhas Chandra Bose as In-charge of Broadcast and Publicity of the Azad Hind Radio, 1942— 47; Information Officer, Indian Embassy (Paris), 1948—50; Attended the United Nations General Assembly at Paris as Press Attache to the Indian Delegation, 1949-50; Member of a large number of international, social and cultural associations in France and Germany; Imprisoned in Germany by the British; Attended the 43rd Inter-Parliamentary Conference held at Vienna in 1954.
