Smt. Bindu Basini Jena, 1958; 2 s. and 2 a.; Agriculturist and Social worker; was engaged in the underground activities at the time of movement for Independence under the leadership of Shri Jaya Prakash Narayan, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia and Smt. Aruna Asaf Ali, 1941-44; In 1943 protested against the torture, misbehaviour and un-social activities of the soldiers of the 2nd World War and a court martial was instituted against, those soldiers on his initiative, and all the soldiers involved in it, were punished, Was imprisoned in Balasore District Jail for one week protesting against the arrest of late Prime Minister, Smt.
