(M)—West Bengal, Burdwan,1980]  s. of late Shri Kamalapati Bhattacharya; b. at Bardwan, November 30, 1921; ed. at Burdwan Town School and Burdwan Raj College, Intermediate Science; Unmarried; Social and Political Worker; in course of political movements suffered imprisonment without trial several times; Member, (i) Burdwan District Committee of C.P.I., 1955-64, and (ii) Burdwan District Committee of C.P.I. (M), 1964—74; Secretariat Member, C,P.I. (M) Delhi State Committee; at present General-Secretary, Centre of Indian Trade Unions (C.I.T.U.), Delhi State Committee; visited Moscow as a delegate of All India Hospital Employees Federation in 1962.
