Social activities:  Interested in cultural activities like music and drama and is an office bearer of certain institutions furthering the cause of classical music; also interested in the tribals and as such made a close study of the Adivasis in, Chanda.

Shrimati Sanjida Khatun, May 24, 1953; 4 s. and 3 d.; Agriculturist and businessman; President, (i) Gram Panchayat, Rajoli, Distt. Chandrapur, (ii) Zila Parishad, Distt. Chandrapur for 9 years, (iii) Sardar Patel College of Arts, Distt. Chandrapur, (iv) Patel Education Society, Nagpur and (v) Kidwai Education Society, Nagpur; Member, (i) Zila Parishad, Distt. Chandrapur for 10 years and (ii) Governing Council, Village Uplift Society (Vidarbha), Nagpur; worked on several State level Committees during the last 10 years.

Social activities.—Helping the poor and needy; established several educational institutions; was head of Bharat Sevak Samaj, Chandrapur District; started social work in village Rajoli and was awarded First Prize by the Government of Maharashtra in making village Rajoli an ideal one; during 1962 Chinese aggression on India, collected maximum gold in the whole of India; awarded gold medal for implementing Family Planning programmes in Chandrapur District.

Hobbies.—Social work and agriculture.
