Kalka is a town in Panchkula District of Haryana. Kalka is one of the 90th Assembly Constituencies of Haryana. It is a part of Ambala Lok Sabha Constituency. There are five towns in the District of Panchkula namely, Barwala, Kalka, Panchkula, Pinjore and Raipur Rani. Total population of the district is around 319398 out of which173557 are males and 145841 are females. According to 2011 census the population of Kalka is 30314. The word Kalka is derieved from the name of the Goddess kali. |
