Admission criteria:
Admission through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
Admission to all Undergraduate Programmes are made through the JEE Main and JEE Advanced. A student is eligible to join in IIT Delhi after getting good rank and completing counselling procedure.
Cultural Exchange Fellowship Programme
It is administered by the Indian Council of Cultural Relations, Government of India. Scholarship holders are directly nominated by ICCR to the Institute. These students must also satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission under foreign nationals.
Casual Studentship
A student who is registered for an Engineering/Technology degree in a recognized Institute/University in India or abroad is eligible for being considered as a casual student at IIT Delhi. He/she should be officially sponsored by the Institute/University where he/she is studying. Such a studentship is granted to carry out research or to avail laboratory or other academic facilities or for attending a formal set of courses, for a maximum period of 6 months/one semester.
Infrastructure:
The IIT Delhi Campus is geographically divided into areas like administrative and logistical functions of the Infrastructure Unit: West Campus(Hostel area), East campus (residential area), Main Administrative Building and Academic area. Study rooms are air conditioned. It has developed many research facilities in collaboration with some famous Institutes in the world. It owns hostels, hospitals, walkways, swimming pool, sport centres, research centres and much more facilities to give students more advantage.
