Has been taking several initiatives for the socio-economic welfare of the people and in particular of the deprived and downtrodden sections
(i) Established 4 Hospitals in different rural locations of Assam, like, Haji Abdul Majid Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, Hojai; Al-Salam Charitable Hospital, Goalpara; Badarpur Charitable Hospital, Karimganj; AWHAQ Charitable Hospital, Morigaon;
(ii) Has established AJMAL Computer Centres (35 Nos.) in rural Assam to spread computer education among deprived and backward students;
(iii) As Chief Patron of Ajmal Skill Training for Employment and Placement, jointly initiated with the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi he has established 24 Centres in 24 Districts of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Assam to train youths belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and to provide them placements in Multinational Companies. This initiative will provide livelihood opportunity to more than 8,000 families. More than 6,500 youths were trained and around 5,000 have been placed in different various organizations in India and abroad;
(iv) Established 5 Darul Yatama (Orphanages) to accommodate 1,010 orphans who are the victims of ethnic violence and natural calamities;
(v) As the Chief Patron of Ajmal Rural Technology and Demonstration Centres and Krishi Vikash Kendra, helping impart industrial and agricultural training to youths and farmers respectively for their livelihood;
(vi) Under his dynamic leadership, a Mega Relief and Rehabilitation Mission was initiated in the trouble-torn Districts of Kokrajhar, Dhubri, Bongaigaon and Chirang in Assam. Under the auspices of the Mission, some hundreds of houses were built and some lakhs of families were provided food items, medicines, clothes, utensils, tarpaulin, mosquito nets, G I sheets and Rickshaws, Handcarts, Bicycles, equipments of masonry and carpentry works, etc. for self employment. These philanthropic activities were taken under auspices of Ajmal Foundation, Markazul Ma’arif & Hazi Abdul Majid Hospital in collaboration with many reputed international organizations like Al-Imdaad Foundation (South Africa and UK); Muslim Aid, Asutralia; IHH, Turkey; Ummah Welfare Trust, UK, Baitulmaal, USA; ESCO, USA; Human Appeal, UK; Newstar Foundation, UK
