Hemlata Rajhans, May 16, 1962; 1 s. and 2 d.; Journalist and Writer; was senior-Deputy General Manager, “Hindustan Times”, New Delhi and presently its Adviser; was Director, (i) U.N.I. Newsagency, (ii) “Searchlight”, Patna, and (iii) Bihar Text Book Corporation, Government of Bihar, Patna; Ex-Member, Executive Committee Indian and Eastern Newspaper Society, New Delhi; taught Economics, International Affairs and Management in a number of American Universities; participated in Group Discussions on T. V. and A.I. R. on current affairs.
Social activities: Worked for the establishment and running of a number of institutions like schools for boys and girls, colleges, hospitals and dharamshalas in Bhagalpur District.
Favourite pastime and recreation: Fiction writing, photography, social service and listening to music.
Special interests: Reading books on International politics and economics.
Books published: (i) Phir Aana, and (ii) “Salma”—two novels and” one collection of short stories—’Ujli Rekhein Bhi’, Biography of Motilal Nehru; written innumberable articles on current affairs for Indian and foreign newspapers and magazines.
Clubs: Member, (i) Delhi Rotary Club and (ii) Press Club of India, New Delhi.
Travels abroad: U.S.A., Canada and almost all the countries of Europe and Middle East.
