Kanthimathi, February 6, 1931; 2 S. and 5 D.; Registered Medical Practitioner; Was Councillor of Madras Corporation in 1959 and the Leader ofCongress Municipal Party in the Corporation; Was trustee in Pachayappa’s Trust Board in 1961; Member, Board of the North Madras Hindu Girls School from 1945; Member, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, 1962.

Social activities: Hon. Treasurer and Hon. Secretary for the Madras Society for the protection of children and Dr. Varadappa Naidu’s Orphanage successively from 1939— 50.
