Secretary, Rural Ambulance Service and Hospital for women and children near Calcutta; attended the I.L.O. Committee, Geneva (1949), I.L.O. Conference, Geneva, (1951), I.C.F.T.U. Conference, London (1949), Milan (1951), I.C.F.T.U. Committee, Vienna and Munich (1963) and the Anti-Atom Bomb Conference, Hiroshima and Nagasaki (1964); Member, West Bengal Legislative Assembly, 1954—67.
