INDIAN AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE

            Indian Agricultural Research Institute was first located at Pusa (Bihar) and it began its duty in the year 1905.Later it was named as Imperial agricultural Research Institute in the year 1919.Due to devastating Earthquake in Bihar, the Institute was relocated in Delhi in the year 1935 with its name as Indian Agricultural Research Institute. The campus is located over an area of 500 hectares of land. India’s backbone is mainly on Agriculture. The development in the agriculture mainly leads to the development of the country. The new innovations in this field will lead to greater ideas to the society. There are all facilities in the campus like Hostel facilities, Anti ragging club, well equipped laboratories.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

      The examination is mainly conducted for candidates who are interested in Agriculture Institutes. The eligibility of the candidates are;

  • Candidate must be the citizen of India
  • He/She must have a minimum 60% percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Home Science
  • The question paper will be in English language only
  • The exam pattern consists of multiple choice questions with questions from the core subjects. There will be 10 cross matching type questions. The time for the exam is two and half hours.
