Sardarni Charan Kaur, 1930; 4 d; Advocate; Member, Punjab Legislative Assembly, 1946-52; Parliamentary Secretary in the State Government, 1946; Minister of Development, Food and Civil Supplies, Punjab, 1946-47; Member, Partition Committee to divide assets of partioned Punjab; between 1947 and 1952, served several times as a Minister in the Government of Punjab; Member, Rajya Sabha and Minister of Works, Housing and Supply, Government of India, 1952—57; Leader, Indian Delegation to the Sessions of U.N.
