Asian Regional Conference, New Delhi, 1957; led the Indian Delegation to the International Labour Conference held at Geneva in 1959; Member, First Lok Sabha, 1952-57, Second Lok Sabha, 1957-62; Third Lok Sabha, 1962-67 and Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967-70; Minister of Planning and Irrigation and Power, Governmant of India, 1952-57; Minister of Labour & Employment and Planning, 1957-63; Minister of Home Affairs, Government of India, September, 1963—November, 1966 and Minister of Railways, February 18, 1970 to March 17, 1971.
