  5. What are the different kinds of media?
  6. What is an enrichment medium?
  7. Define sterilisation.
  8. What are bactericidal and bacteriostatic agents?
  9. What is sanitization?
  10. Define virulence.

  1. Describe the composition and structure of peptidoglycan, gram positive

and gram negative cell walls.

  1. Explain the structure of flagella and its distribution patterns.
  2. What are the three types of nutrient broth and how will you prepare them?
  3. What are disinfectants? What are the various applications of disinfectants?
  4. Discuss the spread and outbreak of infections in a community.
