Shrimati Kirshna  Kumari, February 21, 1951; 1 s. and 1 d.; Agriculturist ; was  President of the Resident Students Union; Leader of the Opposition in the Collage Union; was Secretary of the Delhi University History Society and Secretary of the Shakespeare Society in College; was an active member of the Social Service League and did a lot of work in the local Bhangi Colony; was a founder-member of the Delhi Ornithological Society; has been Member of Himachal Pradesh State Transport Authority, Small Scale Industries Board, State Planning Board, State Basic Education Committee, Historical Records Survey Committee, State Prohibition Board, N.C.C. Advisory Committee. Cooperative Farming Advisory Committee; for five years member Standing Committee for Education of the H.P. Territorial Council; served on the P.W.D. Committee of the Territorial Council; served as Chairman and Member of several committees at the District and block leval ; Member of the H.P. Bhoodam Board and of the Pradesh Executive of the Harijan Sevak Sangh ; organised the only joint farm in H.P.; President , Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Ltd.; Founder-President, Himachal Pradesh Central State Land Mortgage Bank Ltd.; Pradesh Convener, Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress; Convener/Secretary, H.P. Motilal Nehru Centenary Committee; Gen. Secretary, H.P. Congress Legislative Party, 1957-60; President, Sundernagar Municipal Committee; Member. Social activities:  As Pradesh Convener of the Bharat Sewak Samaj , organised social service activities in all the districts of Himachal Pradesh ; opened and organised several institutions for the benefit of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes; organised various cultural and social club and societies in Himachal Pradesh .

Hobbies:  Photography, reading and writing. 

Favourite pastime and recreation: Writing.

Special interests:  Journalism, and nuclear disarmament.

Travels abroad:  Japan and the Far East, Europe and the Middle East.
