Monghi Ben, 1930; 3 s. and 3 d.; Agriculturist; Political and social worker; previously associated with Congress (O); Minister, Government of Gujarat, 1975; District Organiser, Congress Seva Dal, 1948-56; Secretary, District Congress Committee, 1958-61; President, District Congress Committee, 1963-67; Founder Director and Managing Trustee, Gram Bharati Amrapur Educational Institution, since 1958; Member, Governing Body of the Mehsana District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (Dugdhsagar Dairy), since I960 and its Chairman, since 1970: President, District Khadi Gramodyog Co-operative Union, 1965-72; Member, (i) State Khadi Gramodyog Board, 1969-72; and (ii) Gujarat State Prohibition Board, since 1962; Member, Gujarat Legislative Assembly, 1972-74 and 1975-77.
