He has been working on the socio-economic front and taking various initiatives to empower the downtrodden people from the tribal, remote and drought prone Vidarbha region; His visionary ideas are helping in water conservation and in the conversion of agricultural waste into clean and efficient fuel; He started working in the field of renewable energy and patronized several innovative projects; He introduced the concept of converting agricultural waste into a cost effective and efficient fuel whereby the biomass is converted into small pellets which can be burnt in a specially designed stove and can be used as a clean and efficient fuel; Realising that the perennial availability of the water can change the future of the farmers, he actively started mentoring various projects in water conservation to improve the livelihood of farmers in the water starved Vidarbha region; Taking inspiration from the saying ‘education can bring sea change in the life of one and also change the fate of the nation’ he played a leading role in the formation of the Late Laxmanrao Mankar Memorial Trust and took the work of starting of Ekal Vidyalayas in the different parts of Vidarbha, mostly in the tribal areas of Gadchiroli and Melghat in Amravati District which inter alia suffer from malnutrition; He was also instrumental in the formation of the Institute of Village Enterprise Development of Handicraft Artists (VEDHA India) which is working with the bamboo workers from the bamboo producing areas thereby helping generate employment for them and add to their income.
