Smt. Pouraamasi Devi, 1949; 3 s. and 2 d.; Advocate and Agriculturist; previously associated with Ganatantra Parishad; Swatantra Party and Bharatiya Lok Dal; Life-Member, (i) Youth Hostel Association, (ii) Farmers’ Forum; Member, Orissa Legislative Assembly, 1957—77; Minister of Works, Transport and Forestry, Orissa State, 1971-72; Member and Chairman, several Committees of State Legislature like Public Accounts, Public Undertakings, Subordinate Legislation, Estimates etc.; attended 21st Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference held at Delhi as Member of Orissa Legislature; imprisoned during the Emergency for 10 months in 1976-77.
