Meenal Patel, April 22, 1976 (first wife died in 1975); 3 s.; Political and Social Worker and Industrialist; as a student participated in “Quit India” Movement, 1942, courted arrest and was jailed; Member, National Students’ Union, London, 1949-53; Trustee in various educational and medical institutions, Broach District; Member, The British Youth Delegation to Bucharest, July-August, 1953, General Secretary, Indian Youth Delegation to Warsaw (Poland), Italy-Aug., 1955; Leader, Youth Cultural Delegations to USSR, China and Mongolia, July-September, 1957.  

Social activities : Worked for the people at the time of drought in 1974-75 in Broach District.  

Favourite pastime and recreation : Reading and Music.
