Social activities.—Instrumental in establishing Law College, Women’s College, Medical College and Sambalpur University and a host of private Schools and Colleges in the District; Member of Governing Bodies of almost all Colleges and Schools of the District; President of District Bharat Sevak Samaj and Rashtrabhasa Prachar Sabha.
Hobbies.—Travelling, study and gardening.
Favourite pastime and recreation.—Orcharding and association with domestic pets.
Special interests.—Study of plant and animal life of the world; housing and town planning and other aspects of urban development.
