Smt. Manu Barua, April 29, 1961; 1s. and 2d.; Teacher, Lecturer in Political Science, 1952; Head of Department of Politics, 1955; Vice Principal, D. R. College, Golaghat, 1960—67; previously associated with Praja Socialist Party; Member, (i) Golaghat Municipal Board, 1959—65, (ii) District School Board, 1959—61, (iii) Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967—70, Fifth Lok Sabha, 1971—77 and (iv) Estimates Committee, 1969-70; Union Deputy Minister, Department of Company Affairs, 1971; Convener of the Goodwill Delegation of Parliamentarians to East Africa in 1970.
