Tribes)—1977]:  s. of Shri Gulab Singh; b. at Bhawaniya Bujurg Village, Dhar District, October 12, 1912; ed. at Residency High School and Maharaja Shivaji High School, Indore, matriculate; m. Smt. Kumudini Chowhan, February 5, 1958; 2 s. and 1 d.; Agriculturist; previously associated with Congress and Jan Sangh; Member, Hindustan Socialist and Republican Army before Independence and was involved in the Indore-Dhar conspiracy case in 1932 and remained underground for 14 years; Chairman, District Panchayat Council, 1957— 67; Member, (i) Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967—70 and (ii) Fifth Lok Sabha, 1971—77.
