(Janata—Rajasthan, Jhunjhunu, 1980] s. of Thakur Inder Singhji; b. at Mandawa Village, Jhunjhunu District, October 6, 1924; ed. at Mayo College, Ajmer and Agricultural Institute, University of Allahabad; m. Smt. Krishna Kumari, 1944; 1 s. and 4 d.; Farming (former Jagirdar); As a student at Allahabad University participated in 1942 Quit Indian movement; previously associated with Indian National Congress, resigned in December, 1966; Deputy Minister in the State of Rajasthan for Home, Transport, Cooperation & Agriculture, 1962-66; Director, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur, 1969-75; Founder Member, Rajasthan Janata Party, 1966; Member, Rajasthan State Legislative Assembly, 1952-57 and 1962-67.

Favourite pastime and recreation: Horse riding, hill climbing and Gardening.
