Tribes)—1977]:  s. of late Shri Sahebram Sinha; b. at Durgapur Village, Mayurbhanj District, March 22, 1923 in a landless Kol family; ed. at Government High School and Ravenshaw College, Cuttack; Trained in Police Training College, Angui in 1942-43 and was in Government service from  1943 to 1949 and then resigned; trained as Finger Print Expert,  1944 and in Asian Trade Union  College of I.C.F.T.U. 1952; m. Smt. Banabasini Sinha, March 1942; 5 s.; Political and Social Worker; previously associated with Prajamandal Movement Adibasi Congress, Orissa, Indian National Congress and Utkal Congress; Member, Orissa P.C. C., 1956—70 and A.I.C. C.., 1956—61; President Mayurbhanj D.C. C., 1968—70; General Secretary, Utkal Congress Committee, 1971-72; Secretary, (i) Adivasi Pragati Sangha, 1949—54 and (ii) Bhartiya Lok Dal 1974—77; Vice-President and Executive Member, All Orissa, Adibasi Congress, 1950—53; President and General Secretary of Several Labour Unions, 1950—61 and since 1967; Member (i) General Council of I.N.T.U.
