Sharda Bahen, May 3, J947; 2 s. and 1 d.; Agriculturist and Political and Social Worker; previously associated with the Khedut Samaj, Swatantra Party and Kisan Mazdoor Lot Paksh; was Organiser, Swantantra Party, Saurashtra Zone, for five years; Secretary, Kisan Mazdoor Lok Paksh; was Secretary, Keshod Mahal Village Development Board, for ten yours; General Secretary, Saurashtra Kisan Samaj for four years; member, Gujarat State Irrigation Board, for two years; Associate Member, Junagadh District Panchayat for six years; Member, Gujarat Punchayat Parishad for one year; Member, Gujarat Vidhan Sabha, 1967—1971 and 1975—77; Members (i) Estimates Committee of Gujarat Vidhan Mandal, for three years; and (ii) Public Undertakings Committee of Gujarat Vidhan Sabha for one year, presentlv Member, Committee on Public Undertakings.

Social activities:  Worked for Khadi Gramodyog, Harijan Welfare, eradication and untouchability Panchayat and co-operation, Kisan Organisation, Public Boarding Houses for students; propagation of Hindi and voluntary family planning and removal of Ghunghat custom.
