Shrimati Malti Devi, April 15, 1931; 1 S. and 2 D.; Farmer; Joined Congress in 1930; Former Secretary, Kisan Sabha, Bakhtiarpur; Delegate, A.I.C.C, 1939 and 1950; Was Member, Medical and Public Health Committee, Monghyr, 1939; Member, Education Committee, Local Board, Sadar; Took part in August, 1942 movement and suffered imprisonment for one year; Started High School at Salkhua in 1946 and was its Secretary upto 1957; President, Bakhtiarpur Thana Congress Committee in 1950; Member, Bihar Legislative Assembly, 1952—57; Member, Second Lok Sabha, 1957—62.

Social activities: Rendered relief during Bihar earthquake and Kosi floods in 1934: Did constructive work and worked for removal of untouchability.
