Shrimati Kochu Madhavi Vyloor, November 11, 1931; 3 S. and 3 D.; Social worker and Journalist; Was associated with Congress and Congress Socialist Parties; Trade Unionist since 1934; Was Municipal Councillor, Trichur; Was convicted in the Travancore State Congress Struggle, 1938 and again in 1940 for anti-imperialist speeches; Joined the Editorial Board of ‘Deshabhimani’ Daily in 1945; Went underground during 1946-47 and again during 1948—50; Editor, ‘Navjeevan’ Daily from Trichur till 1957 and is now its publisher; Convicted in 1950 for communist activities; Arrested again in 1961 for taking part in Kisan agitation but released after forty-five days; Member, Second Lok Sabha, 1957—62.
