Subbaiya Gowder; b. on November 13, 1944; ed. at Diamond Jubilee High School, Gobichettipalayam, Government Arts College, Coimbatore and Madras Law College; m. Smt. Jothi Ramalingam, 1969; 2d.; Advocate; was an active member of DMK since student days; Joined All-India Anna D.M.K. since the formation of the Party by Puatchi Thalaivar Shri M.G. Ramachandran in 1972; detained for participation in Anti-Hindi Agitation in 1965; imprisoned twice for political activities in 1975; Organiser of the Advocate’s Wing of All-India Anna D.M. K.
