PATEL, SHRI PASHABHAI, Swa., (Gujaral-Baroda—1967):  s. of  Shri Chhotabhai U. Patel; b. at Baroda, March 8, 1901; ed. at Baroda College; left studies during the non-cooperation movement of 1921; m. Shrimati Vasantben, 1942; 1 s. and 1 d.; Businessman and Industrialist; sting in the Aga Khan Palace in 1943, protesting against the imprisonment of  Mahatmaji, Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru and all leaders and withholding payment of  Rs. 1,90,000, income tax; was arrested and spent two years in ail; subsequently unconditionally released and paid up the tax on the advice of Mahatmaji who said that this was the only case of its kind in the history of Civil Disobedience movement.

Hobby:  Reading.

Favourite  pastime and recreation:  Reading, farming and social activities.

Special interests:  Farm mechanisation and mechanised earthmoving.

Travels abroad:  Travelled all over the World more than twenty times.
