PRABODH CHANDRA, SHRI, M.A., (Cong.) Punjab-Gurdaspur—1971, Son of Shri Satyadeva; b. at Rawalpindi, October 24, 1911; ed. at Government College, Multan, Hindusabha College, Amritsar, Khalsa College, Amritsar, Dayal Singh College and Forman Christian College, Lahore; m. Shrimati Adarsh Bala, November 21, 1936; 1 s. and 2 d.; Agriculturist and Dairy Farming; was associated with Revolutionary Party till 1929; Edited Students Tribune, a monthly magazine of All India Students Union, 1936-38; Member, Punjab Legislative Assembly, 1946-69 and held the offices of Parliamentary Secretary, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Minister and Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha; Member, Fourth Lok Sabha, September 1970-December, 1970.

Social activities.—Interested in opening ‘Eye’ camps and water supply in rural areas.

Hobby.—Writing.
