Prema, 1948; 2 S. and 1 D; Agriculturist; Member (1) Executive Committee, State Farmers Forum Madras; (2) State Sago Board, Salem; President, Salem District Tapioca Growers Association; received a number of prizes for high production of paddy, jawar, groundnut etc.; Member, Third Lok Sabha, 1962—67.

Favourite pastime and recreation: Carnatic Music and touring.

Special interests: Study of farming in various countries under different political set-ups.

Sports: Wild game hunting.
