Shrimati Gujrati Devi, 1922; 1 s.; Political Worker; previously associated with the S.P.I., C.S.P. and H.S.R.A.; Suffered imprisonment for about 10 years on various occasions during the freedom struggle; Organised relief work during Bihar Earthquake, 1934; General Secretary, Socialist Party of India and Provincial Youth League, U.P., 1937-40; organiser of H.S.R.A.; President,, District Congress Committee, Jaunpur; Managing Director, District Cooperative Bank Ltd., Jaunpur for 6 years; Chairman, District Wholesale Consumers’ Cooperative Store, Jaunpur for two years; Member, Third Lok Sabha, 1963-67 and Fourth Lok Sabha, 1967-70.

Hobby: Gardening.
